IA Health Link

Welcome to IA Health Link, Iowa’s Medicaid managed care program!

IA Health Link brings together physical, behavioral and long-term care into one program across Iowa. Most Iowa Medicaid members are enrolled in the IA Health Link managed care program, with coverage provided by a Managed Care Organization (MCO) that you get to choose. Some Medicaid members, however, will continue to receive Medicaid coverage through the Medicaid Fee-for-Service program and will not transition to the IA Health Link program. The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) services will continue to be offered through the Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa program, also known as hawk-i. Simply put, Iowa Medicaid has three main coverage groups:

  1. IA Health Link
  2. Medicaid Fee-for-Service (FFS)
  3. hawk-i

Our Frequently Asked Questions webpage for the IA Health Link program is regularly updated to offer the latest information to help members get the care they need, and help providers get paid for the important services they deliver.
