On March 1, 2016, pending final federal approval, most Iowa Medicaid programs are being joined together into one managed care program called IA Health Link. This new program will give you the same health benefits that you know and use, but will be covered through a managed care organization (MCO) that you get to choose. The MCO will have a comprehen- sive network of health care providers that will ensure that the best quality care is available to you. The Department of Human Services (DHS), along with the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME), understands that you may have many questions about the transition to IA Health Link and have created a special web page that contains a wealth of information on this important change. We encourage you to visit the IA Health Link web page where you will find answers to your many questions. The IA Health Link Frequently Asked Questions and the IA Health Link Managed Care Program Handbook are also great sources of informa- tion. If you have additional questions regarding these changes or are unsure of the type of Medicaid program you are eligible for, you may call Iowa Medicaid Member Services at 1-800-338-8366 or locally in the Des Moines area at 515-256-4606, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may also email general questions to Iowa Medicaid Member Services at
