Glenwood Resource Center Reaches Compliance

Glenwood Resource Center (GRC) serves about 220 adults with intellectual disabilities who live on the campus and receive active treatment at the Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/ID) level of care. GRC operated its ICF/ID under a conditional license since January 2017.
On October 19th, the Department of Inspection and Appeals (DIA) issued GRC a new license and rescinded the conditional license. DIA acknowledged GRC’s improvement effects to correct past deficiencies and attain license compliance. “Congratulations to the GRC staff for their hard work and dedication to demonstrating quality care to the Iowans we serve. I look forward to continuing these efforts under the leadership of GRC’s new Superintendent, Dr. Jerry Rea,”  stated Rick Shults, Mental Health and Disability Services Division Administrator.
