Children's System State Board

The Children’s System State Board (Children’s Board) is the single point of responsibility in the development and implementation of a Children’s Mental Health System (Children’s System) that is committed to improving children’s well-being, building healthy and resilient children, providing for educational growth, and coordinating medical and mental health care for those in need. The Children’s Board is authorized by Governor Reynold’s Executive Order 2 signed on April 23, 2018.

The Children’s Board consists of 18 voting members appointed by the Governor. The Children’s Board is co-chaired by the Department of Human Services and Department of Education. The Children’s Board is required to develop a strategic plan with recommendations to create and implement a Children’s System and submit to the Governor and General Assembly by November 15, 2018.

The Children’s System State Board meetings are open to the public.
