Will I get more SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits during the pandemic?

To help during the pandemic, Iowans who received SNAP benefits April 2020 through January 2022 will get the maximum monthly amount for the number of people in your SNAP household. 

What are SNAP Emergency Maximum Allotments (EA)? 

SNAP EA are extra SNAP benefits provided to eligible SNAP households. This allows households to receive the maximum SNAP benefits for the household size.

How long will I continue to receive EA?

EA will continue as long as both the state and federal COVID-19 public health emergency declarations are in effect. When the public health declarations end, EA will only be available for one additional month. Continue to check this website for updates.

The fastest and easiest way to check your balance is to visit www.ConnectEBT.com

You can set up a new account easily with the following information: Your social security number, date of birth, number on the front of your EBT card, a user ID, and password.
