Member Services

Most Iowa Medicaid members are enrolled in the IA Health Link managed care program. This program gives you health coverage through a Managed Care Organization (MCO) that you get to choose. Some Medicaid members will get health coverage through the Medicaid Fee-for-Service program. The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) will continue to be offered through the Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa program, also known as hawk-i.

Simply put, Iowa Medicaid has three main coverage groups:

  1. IA Health Link (Includes Iowa Health and Wellness Plan)
  2. Medicaid Fee-for-Service (FFS)
  3. hawk-i
