Provider Contracting

The state currently contracts with (19) service providers (also referred to as grantees) for provision of Community Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (CAPP) Services. Grantees were selected through a competitive procurement process. Contracts resulting from this procurement were effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014 with the ability to extend contracts for five (5) additional one-year terms.  The current contract term was extended effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

Administration of the CAPP Program is conducted by the Department in partnership with a contracted administrator that was also selected through a competitive procurement process. The current CAPP administration contract was effective July 1, 2012 with the ability to extend the contract for five additional one year terms. The current contract term was extended effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. 

The Iowa Department of Human Services is in the process of procuring a new CAPP Program Administration contract as required by Iowa Administrative Code, Chapter 118.
